Island CommonsIsland Commons serves as home to 7 full time residents and staff in an island community.
Increasing annual operating costs due to the high cost of heating were becoming unsustainable for this non-profit. BuildingWorks performed a comprehensive energy evaluation, working with a team, to develop a holistic approach to address not only the heating costs, but also long term durability, comfort, and indoor air quality. A phased approach was developed to allow improvements to be implemented in a manner to best address the needs and financial resources of the Island Commons. |

BuildingWorks performed an energy audit, developed a phased approach for improvements, and acted as the owner's project manager to manage the work to address the highest priority items in the first phase of work.
